We had never seen Twin Lakes quite like we did on this day. As the winds swished around, the glaciers (or lake ice) were blown into the shoreline. We consistently heard loud crashing in the distance, and as we made our way down to the shore, we were amazed to see the water’s surface broken into large stacks of ice! It was one of the coolest and most unexpected things we’ve seen during an elopement.

How to Include Kids in your Elopement

Depending on how old your kids are, timing can be very important. Sarah and Caleb brought their daughter to their ceremony and had someone ready to babysit her shortly thereafter. Twin Lakes Elopement Permit

To get married at Twin Lakes, you will need to obtain a ceremony permit. This helps communicate to the forest service when you will be coming to get married on the land.
