Sprague Lake Engagement | Lydia & Dan
Seeing Red
Lydia and Dan’s Sprague Lake engagement in Rocky Mountain National park features a brilliant double rainbow and a breathtaking sunset. Which has the best shade of red? Neither one! Can we just say that Lydia’s voluminous hair is flawless and the perfect compliment to the explosion of color in the sky – so stunning! 🙂 Originally, our plan was to hike up to Dream Lake. With the potential of rainfall, we decide it is best to visit places with shorter treks. While it did not rain too much, we are glad our route lead us to these gorgeous spots!
The Green Mile
Moreover, the end of springtime and beginning of summertime is full of color and wonder! There is also so much green to explore! Additionally, the wildflowers really begin blooming in June so if you want images with a variety of color, June and July are great options.
Wild Violets
The wildflowers are in full bloom and this sweet shade of lavender is one of our favorites! In following the leave no trace guidelines, we make sure not to step on or damage these delicate flowers in any way. For this Sprague Lake engagement session, Lydia and Dan are sitting on the clear path of land. These shots are taken from a really low angle to give the appearance that they are sitting right in the middle.
Lydia and Dan, we had so much fun exploring the color spectrum with you! Thank you so much for going on this adventure with us for your Sprague Lake engagement shoot in Rocky Mountain National Park! We are thinking of you and hope you are safe and well during these unusual times!
