Colorado Backyard Elopement

Colorado Backyard Elopement
Olivia and Cody’s Colorado backyard elopement is the best possible plan B for which anyone could ever ask. In fact, it turns out better than the original. After having to comply with regulations related to the pandemic, Olivia and Cody turn to the mountains to spark inspiration. Olivia’s sister opens her doors to host this cozy, romantic elopement ceremony. A light Colorado rainstorm sets the afternoon mood, which enhances the refreshing, feel-good vibe of the day. The family works together to decorate the aesthetic by splashing bright florals in mason jars, peppering paper lanterns about, hanging macrame, and posting torchieres. The tasteful elegance is the perfect compliment to such a mellow and sweet couple.
Gazing at the Stars
Furthermore, the love in the air is inviting and palpable. It moves everyone to the point of reflection and contemplative observation. The natural beauty is apparent, and there is something unmistakably grand about the simplicity. There is nothing to distract from the true purpose of the day. Each element is individually prominent in its own way: earth, wind, fire, and water. The harmony of these four mingling together is an extension of Olivia and Cody’s unity and something incredibly lovely to behold. The power of unscripted beauty and synchronicity is emotionally moving and allows expectations to rest. When the environment surrounding your vow exchange occurs naturally, there is a prevailing sense of calmness. Trust and surrender to the elements. Trust and surrender to love.
Patience, Trust, & Music
What’s more, the sun casts a bright spotlight upon their ceremony site as it sets. They trust our guidance when we suggest waiting to start the ceremony until after the sun tucks behind the mountains. Instead, we utilize a smaller shady spot to take family portraits in the meantime. Elopements are great for rearranging the timeline at the last minute! Also, we really connect with Olivia and Cody through music. Their song choices for the day are so thoughtful and full of delight!
Non-Traditional Tradition
Olivia’s dress has been worn by her two sisters when they married. The little girls attending this elopement will probably wear it one day as well. It’s an awesome tradition that will continue on and on. Feel free and empowered to be creative and do something that appeals to you even if it has never been done before 😉
Olivia and Cody, we are so happy we found each other and that we were a part of your Colorado backyard elopement! Thank you for everything! We look forward to checking out some music with you when things return to normal 🙂 Oh, and by the way, you are both magnificent!
