Larkspur Elopement
Colorado Outdoor Micro Wedding
This Larkspur elopement took place about an hour south of Denver, Colorado and was full of love, nature, and wildlife. Our closest neighbors were a herd of moose and a couple of deer. Towering red rock formations, rainbows at sunset, mountains surrounding the perimeter, and a blue lake set the scene for this Colorado outdoor micro wedding!
It felt like we were in Jurassic Park, partly because we needed an ATV to access the nooks and crannies on this beautiful stretch of land. Distant thunder created sweet percussion like a free spirited drummer playing to her own beat. The natural acoustics of the red rock altar accentuated the perfect timbre with which the bride and groom spoke. The soft wind curled about, and the outdoor space was absolutely the most perfect feng shui.
DIY Colorado Elopement
One of the best parts about this Larkspur elopement is that the bride and groom took a do-it-yourself approach! They held their ceremony on their property and invited only their closest people to attend. They had fun driving their UTV, dancing next to a nearby lake, and snuggling beneath a gorgeous double rainbow! You definitely don’t need to spend a ton of money to have a beautiful and heartfelt wedding!
Backyard Elopement Reception
When it comes to getting married, you can certainly do it yourself and avoid spending tens of thousands of dollars on a venue and other vendors. Our couple had dinner catered to their own backyard so that they could spend time enjoying each other and be in a familiar place.
