Thoughts from a Denver Engagement Photographer

One of the best parts about being a Denver engagement photographer is that you get to see powerful moments in a beautiful stage of relationships.  When we think about these two, we can’t help but hear Genevieve’s sweet voice serenading Jimmy.  Her fingertips gently strum the guitar.  Jimmy listens as his heart skips a couple of beats.  It’s extra sweet because Genevieve’s affection is the only thing that can alter his rhythm.  He is strong and consistent like a metronome.  His calm demeanor never waivers, and he feels empty handed without Genevieve’s palm in his.  Their relationship has such a palpable pulse.  You might even feel more alive around them.

Sunday Funday

The University of Denver is where Jimmy proposed to Genevieve.  It is also part of their first date.  The significance of the location is perfect for engagement photos.  Incorporating nostalgia into a location for your portraits is definitely a wise consideration.

We meet Genevieve and Jimmy around 6AM at the University of Denver on a Sunday morning.  We were on the heels of a very work-intensive couple of weeks, and didn’t know from where our energy would come.  Not only are Genevieve and Jimmy fantastic (and great dancers), but the campus has so many nooks and crannies to explore.  There are so many different ideas and combinations for compositions here.  We were so inspired, and the two hours absolutely flew by.
