RMNP Elopement | Bianca & Erik
We had the opportunity to spend two consecutive afternoons with the lovely Bianca and Erik for their RMNP elopement. We visited the park twice and had fun playing around on our hikes from Dream Lake to Sprague Lake. Both days gave us a little rain, but as usual, it was very brief and blew over quickly. The sweet rain shower before the ceremony at Lily Lake was refreshing and added textures to the background. A couple of muskrats swam around the perimeter of Lily Lake and were initially mistaken for otters. One young man exclaimed: “Speaking of otters, that reminds me, I’m hungry!” It was hysterical!
Living in Texas, there are not too many days where you get to see snowfall. In fact, this weekend included the first times Bianca saw snow! Because of how unseasonably cold it has been, parts of Dream Lake were still a bit frozen. Just like seeing a movie for the one-hundredth time with someone who has never seen it, it felt like we were also experiencing snow for the first time. It’s good to be able to see something from a fresh perspective and bring about newly creative ideas! A bright rainbow also showed up as we traversed the winding roads but only for a few short minutes. Just like the raindrops that pass over so quickly, so too do the rainbows left shining in their wake.
Bianca and Erik, thank you for allowing us to capture your beautiful RMNP elopement! Your photos still take our breath away! From all of the lakes that we got to see together, to your awesome newlywed portraits that brought together all of the creatures of the park, we had so much fun! We wish you both the best in your journeys through the health care field together!
