Lookout Mountain Engagement – A Tale of Two Hours

Wrapped up in the clouds, Lookout Mountain ironically had low visibility.  The refreshing, misty fog mellowed the pines.   At times, it felt like being in a giant tent with a really powerful humidifier.  The translucent clouds were a great natural diffuser, which also acted as a fluffy hiding space for one sweet rainbow.  This was true of the first hour of our shoot.  The second half met us with an entirely different look – the sky wanted to change outfits with Taylor and Eli!  Never knowing exactly what weather to expect in Colorado, the entire Lookout Mountain engagement shoot turned into a photographer’s dream!

 

Now, the second hour of our shoot featured our golden star with those striking sun rays we love to see.  The newly found sun exploded midway through our shoot, and beamed gold atop Golden.  The cascading sun rays created amazingly radiant greens in the distance.  All of the fog was burned away giving way to one of the brighter rainbows we’ve seen in Colorado in a while.  Taylor and Eli shined as our subjects within the most cooperative of elements.  The change in lighting fit perfectly into the magic hours, and the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow turned out to be the lovely Taylor and Eli during their Lookout Mountain engagement.

Taylor and Eli, we couldn’t have asked for a more fun experience with you two!  Your Lookout Mountain engagement shoot was absolutely unforgettable!  You are naturals, incredibly photogenic, and so fun to be around!  You made our jobs so easy.  We know your wedding in Kansas City is going to be amazing, and your photographers are so lucky to get to capture your big day!  Cheers!
