As a Colorado elopement photographer team, we had the absolute pleasure of capturing C and C’s lesbian elopement in Crested Butte Colorado. Their heartfelt celebration of love amidst the breathtaking landscapes of this charming mountain town was unforgettable.
C and C met in 2018 on Bumble and almost instantaneously knew they were each other’s person. Within a few months, they were living together and embarked on their first trip to Colorado. Upon their return home, they even adopted two puppies! When it came to getting married, they did not want to be the center of attention and also valued spending time with those they love. So they decided to elope in the colorful town of Crested Butte, Colorado with their now three dogs and brought their relationship full circle!
A Brisk Morning and the Warmth of the Sun
The elopement day started with a touch of briskness as we met at a high alpine mountain lake near Crested Butte during sunrise. As the sun emerged, its gentle rays warmed the atmosphere, painting the mountains with a golden hue. The love between C and C illuminated the surroundings, filling the air with joy and tenderness.
An Intimate Ceremony
Kevin, an ordained officiant, guided the couple through a heartfelt ceremony for their lesbian elopement. Surrounded by the majestic mountains, C and C exchanged their vows, their promises blending seamlessly with the whisper of the wind. It was an honor to witness the intentionality and depth of their commitment.
Newlywed Portraits and Scenic Trails
With their dogs by their side, we embarked on an adventure and captured enchanting portraits by the lake. The furry family members added an extra layer of love and joy to the photos, which made the memories even sweeter. We then hiked up a nearby trail that offered a breathtaking vista for us to immortalize the beauty of their love against Crested Butte’s stunning landscape. As we witnessed C + C become one within the mountains, it was easy to see that their love transcended boundaries just like the mountains that stretched out before us.
An Evening of Celebration
As the day unfolded during their lesbian elopement, we reconvened at their cozy Airbnb for an evening of celebration. Family portraits, candid moments, and capturing the overall vibes of their party became our focus. Surrounded by about 20 loved ones, the atmosphere was filled with laughter, warmth, and an undeniable sense of togetherness.
Delicious Moments and Starry Nights
We documented the playful exchange of pizza bites as C and C lovingly fed each other. The joy in their eyes and the love that filled the air was palpable. As the stars emerged in the night sky, we ventured out to capture some mesmerizing starlit photos to eternalize their love against the backdrop of the universe.
Unforgettable Surprises
The charming Airbnb had so much more to offer than just a beautiful setting. While capturing the overall vibes of their celebration, we witnessed an unexpected visitor make an appearance – a wild fox! This adorable creature added an extra touch of enchantment to an already perfect day. Keep in mind, when wildlife graces your elopement with their presence, it’s essential to show them respect and give them the space they deserve; resist the urge to touch or feed them to ensure their safety and well-being!
With a pool table, a cozy fire pit, and a friend spinning tunes as a DJ, the night was filled with boundless joy, creating memories that will be cherished forever.
