- No open fires, fireworks, or sparklers
- Avoid spreading seeds, lavender, or flower petals
- Follow the 7 Leave No Trace Principles

O’Connor Pavilion Wedding Ceremony Sites
There are two options for ceremony sites during your O’Connor Pavilion Wedding: Aspen Meadow & Deer Mountain Meadow. Both are gorgeous so choosing your ceremony site may come down to the time of day with regard to lighting. Another factor might be the accessibility with consideration of your guests. Both sites include a wooden arch already set up that can be decorated with drapes, fabric, and/or florals! There is also a covered reception space with picnic tables perfect for dining & dancing!

Aspen Meadow
The Aspen Meadow ceremony site at O’Connor Pavilion feels like getting married in your own little forest of aspens. It is easier to access, as anyone with limited mobility can be dropped off within a short distance. This site absolutely lights up in the fall season with hues of gold, yellow, and orange.
Deer Mountain Meadow
The Deer Mountain Meadow Ceremony site is an open field surrounded by pine trees with views of – you guessed it – Deer Mountain. This ceremony site features more dramatic mountain views, and Deer Mountain itself has a rocky top surrounded by pine trees.

Covered Reception Space aka O’Connor Pavilion
What really sets the O’Connor Pavilion apart from other outdoor ceremony spaces in Estes Park is the covered picnic reception area. It’s perfect for hosting your reception since it is already equipped with 14 tables that can be dressed & decorated to your liking. Having a roof is great for shade, and it also provides shelter from rain. The O’Connor Pavilion covered space strikes the perfect balance of being out in nature while maintaining some protection from the elements. It’s situated where cars can pull right up to the pavilion and set up food, decorations, music, & games. Plus, it’s right on the river!
When to Get Married at O’Connor Pavilion
O’Connor Pavilion is open from May 23rd to September 30th every year. The best time for an O’Connor Pavilion wedding is between late June and late September. Summer brings lush greenery and warm weather, while late September transforms the surrounding aspen trees into glowing shades of gold. Weekend dates book quickly, so we recommend inquiring as far out as you can (ideally, 9-12 months in advance).
Tips for Getting Married at O’Connor Pavilion

Make time to explore Rocky Mountain National Park
With RMNP just minutes away, it’s absolutely worth exploring on your wedding day because you can experience vaster mountain views, waterfalls, & alpine lakes. For more intimacy, you can exchange private vows in the National Park and then come back to celebrate and have a ceremony with your larger group of guests.

Have a plan for cleaning up
O’Connor Pavilion is a self sustaining venue, and therefore does not provide a cleaning service for your event. You must enact a plan with a group of reliable guests or hire someone to clean up after your party. It’s important to collect all of your decorations & trash to dispose of it properly. The venue reserves the right to fine those who do not leave a clean space.

Take photos by the river
With easy access, the river is a great space to enjoy serene running water and soak up the natural beauty of the area. You can even hang out and go fishing! Just be mindful when navigating the rocks.

Hire a local photographer (like us 😉)
Hiring a local can help you navigate the park with ease, be prepared for any type of weather, and recommend alternative locations to explore for photos. A true local will genuinely help your day flow smoothly.
