The Wilmont at Gold Mountain Ranch can host up to 18 guests for overnight stays. For your wedding ceremony, you can have up to 40 total people for your event and celebration. A shuttle service is required for all guests not staying on the property.
How much does a Gold Mountain Ranch Wedding Cost?
Gold Mountain Ranch Wedding cost start at $5,500. This includes one night stay at the Wilmont, as well as the ability to host your wedding on the property. Weekend weddings require a two night minimum. We highly suggest for staying at least two nights at the lodge – the night before your wedding and the night of. The property also has a great wedding coordinator and on-call property manager to assist you with anything you might need during your stay.

Due to the high elevation, The Wilmont at Gold Mountain Ranch is generally available from late May – October. Depending on the weather during any given year, the specific dates of availability are subject to change from year to year. For the warmest weather and most colorful landscapes, we recommend getting married in July.
How far in Advance can I reserve Gold Mountain Ranch?
You can book your Gold Mountain Ranch wedding up to one year in advance. The Wilmont opens reservations for the following year in June. We suggest reserving as far out in advance as possible, especially if you’d like to get married on a weekend. Gold Mountain Ranch is located on a mountain side overlooking the small town of Ouray, Colorado. Accessing the ranch involves driving up a steep hill, which is best done in a 4WD vehicle. Rain or snow can make the road more difficult to navigate. Keep in mind that Gold Mountain Ranch requires you to reserve a shuttle service to transport guests not staying with you to and from the venue.

The Lawn Overlook
The main ceremony site at Gold Mountain Ranch is the Lawn Overlook, which has dazzling views overlooking downtown Ouray and the majestic San Juan mountains. This site is located directly to the side of the lodge on a grassy lawn bordered by golden stones. Gold Mountain Ranch has 6 wooden benches in this area that will comfortably seat up to 18 guests. There is a stone stairway that leads down from the house to the aisle onto the lawn, which makes for a nice extended aisle to walk to your altar.
Pro-tip: The Lawn ceremony site faces South. With the sun setting in the West, it is very important to plan your ceremony during the right time of day. We suggest consulting a local photographer who has experience photographing at Gold Mountain Ranch (like us) to help with your timeline as it relates to the best lighting.
The Patio
The Patio is located just above the lawn and can also be used as a ceremony site. This space features a classy, golden rock deck that has staggering mountain peaks and views of Ouray just behind. Moreover, the Patio can be seen from the balcony of the house, making it a great area for first dances, cocktail hour, portraits, and dance parties!
The Balcony
The Wilmont at Gold Mountain Ranch has a wrap around balcony extending around the front of the home. This space, like the lawn and patio, has panoramic views of the mountains. This is a great place to enjoy an evening meal with guests. The balcony is conveniently located off the main living space & kitchen area making it easy to transport food and extend more seating into the house if needed. The Balcony is also covered, making it viable even if rains.

The elegant furniture and great natural lighting make it the perfect place for photos of all of the getting ready fun! Yes, the Wilmont at Gold Mountain Ranch is dog friendly. However, only one dog is allowed for your ceremony and pictures, and dogs are not allowed to stay overnight.
