Springtime weather in the Rocky Mountains can be l Springtime weather in the Rocky Mountains can be like a pendulum swinging sharply from one end of the spectrum to the other. When we arrived in Breckenridge for H + I’s elopement in late May, it was a clear 70 degrees and felt quite hot in the sun. Two short days later, Breckenridge was covered with 18 inches of snow!! ❄️🤯

H + I are meticulously detail oriented when it comes to planning and organizing. But when our plan A got a little wonky, they were also incredibly gracious and flexible! 💙

Instead of spending all of our time together on their elopement day, we split our time into two days and took advantage of the 65 degree temperatures we had the day before.

Naturally, the landscapes were completely different from one day to the next. The experience and their portraits ultimately turned out even better than we could have planned, as the versatility that the weather created was magical ✨ It truly felt like we experienced all four seasons within a matter of days!

For the comfort of their guests, they also changed ceremony sites from outdoors to indoors. They had a room at the summit of their rental overlooking a vast landscape with towering pine trees and snow as far as the eye could see. The acoustics were fantastic, the lighting was bright, and it was just the coziest nook at the top of their own personal snow globe! ☃️

This wasn’t the first time that things didn't go according to plan for H +I. Their support for each other has paved the strength and resilience of their foundation. H + I’s radiant affection and the love between families was a source of warmth and comfort throughout the day.

For more from H + I’s gorgeous elopement, stay tuned!

In honor of Earth Day, we are officially launching the Keep Our Planet Wild Project! ☮️

Our mission is to Keep Our Planet Wild by being better stewards of Mother Earth. 💙🌱

We do this through initiating action, educating, and donating. 💪Our goal of stewardship is to cultivate appreciation for our home planet and all of its inhabitants. We pledge to capture all forms of humans and their love all while equally representing them with dignity.

Furthermore, we aim to help protect our planet for future generations. Our hope is to connect ourselves and others to being truly wild - a part of the whole.

We are not from the Earth,

✨We are OF the Earth. ✨

Whatever it is, us working together makes doing something all the more fun. There’s balance, communication, and a mutual admiration for the other's strengths. 💪

It’s not always easy being in a relationship and running a business together, but it’s always worth it. Seeing each other's creativity blossom and ideas realized is so rewarding. We wouldn’t have it any other way.

Reason # 7 To Elope: Elopements Are Environmentall Reason # 7 To Elope: Elopements Are Environmentally Friendly🌿🌎

According to Zero Waste, the average wedding produces 400 pounds of trash🤮 From paper invitations and decorations to single-use cutlery and food waste, weddings contribute nearly 1 billion pounds of trash annually 🤢 Much of this waste isn’t biodegradable and ends up in landfills, which creates methane and increases our planet’s temperature.

But, here’s the good news! 👍 By ditching that fancy wedding, an elopement gives you the option to produce little to no waste.

Having a vegetarian menu, using only compostable food items, and limiting your guests are just a few ways that you can reduce your carbon footprint. Your elopement can even become carbon negative with a conscious approach and a little extra effort! 🌳Planting trees or renting attire are great ways to do this.

🙌 Can we get a hands up for caring about this big blue planet we call home!
Reason # 6 To Elope: Spend Your Budget on You I Reason # 6 To Elope: Spend Your Budget on You

It’s no secret that a traditional wedding, even a small one, is expensive🤑 The majority of your budget essentially goes to feeding and entertaining your guests.
Doesn’t it make more sense to spend your money on you to celebrate one of the most important days of your life? 🤷‍♀️

Not only will an elopement likely save you money…

✨the money you spend goes solely toward enhancing YOUR experience✨

Instead of paying for others to indulge, invest in your experience and memories.

What’s more, elopements are not limited to one day! You can extend your celebration through an entire vacation and create the ultimate “elopement-moon” to commemorate your marriage.

If you’re considering an elopement, what’s one thing you would treat yourself with? Tell us in the comments below. 👇👇

Reason # 5 To Elope: Go With the Flow Vibe 🤙 Reason # 5 To Elope: Go With the Flow Vibe 🤙

Planning a big party and entertaining guests can be exhausting. Many couples who begin planning a big wedding find it stressful needing to please so many people. When you assume the responsibility of entertaining others, there is inherently more stress associated with the overall enjoyment of your guests.

Furthermore, your time becomes compromised when you have to split it amongst a large group of people. Personal moments with your partner or individual guests become harder to come by.

Contrarily, elopements don’t require you to compromise your time for anyone else. With fewer guests involved, you have more flexibility and spontaneity ✨

Make the most out of every moment when you marry your best friend, and live in the moment! 🤩

Hi, I’m Kevin, and I’m a sucker for flowers 🌻🌹

But what’s in a flower?

Flowers are everything and everywhere. Flowers illuminate the best of times, and the worst of times. We give flowers for new life, at celebrations, during times of illness, out of remorse, and in mourning. We gift flowers from a place of romance, passion, and love. 💕

Fresh, vibrant flowers are fully alive like newlyweds on their wedding day. A flower arrangement isn’t just something you carry when you get married; a bouquet helps tell your story and even listens to it, too. Flowers will even clutch tightly to your hands while you shed a tear listening to your partner’s vows. Flowers are our company.

Flowers are our friends, confidants, and neighbors. Flowers allow our brains to experience scents like honeysuckle, peony, and lilac. Flowers spark inspiration, provide comfort, and lift our spirits.

With the help of honeybees 🐝 and other winged creatures, flowers keep harmony and order within our planet 🌎

Flowers are wild and free, just like your love. And what joy we feel when our land bursts with bright blossoms of lavender, wisteria, canary, and crimson! Flowers are just so inherently happy.

After all, “the earth laughs in flowers” -Ralph Waldo Emerson

So, what’s in a flower? Smiles & everything else 🙂🌸

Reason # 4 To Elope: Prioritize Your Vows & Feel V Reason # 4 To Elope: Prioritize Your Vows & Feel Vulnerable 🖤

Your ceremony is the pinnacle of your day. Heartfelt vows are inherently vulnerable and personal.

However, exchanging them in front of a crowd can be intimidating and disconcerting.

🕊Elopements provide a safe space for you to feel calm, focused, and present.

Vows can become diluted when the moment is more about a party than a promise. A big production with decorations, food, drinks, music, people, conversations, wait staff, DJs, and plus ones are all distractions. By stripping away the pageantry, your vows become more prevalent.

Privacy makes it easier and more natural to truly be vulnerable.🥲

If you’re looking to create a day centered around your vows - get in touch at the link in our bio ☮️
Reason # 3 To Elope: Feel Supported Elopements Reason # 3 To Elope: Feel Supported

Elopements celebrate the intimacy of relationships ❤️ Everyone included should make you feel comfortable, appreciated, and fully loved for who you are.

Inviting the wrong people can hinder the positive vibe you aim to achieve. So always remember…

❌No one is entitled to be present on your wedding day❌

& the ones who are should joyfully participate🥳 and prioritize YOU.

You may certainly feel an obligation to others, but don’t let that persuade you to include them if they don’t make you feel supported. One who truly supports and loves you should understand and lovingly accept if they aren’t present for your vow ceremony. The right people will always be a consistent part of your life, help you uphold your vows, and encourage your goals and overall success.

More importantly, with fewer people at your elopement, you are sure to spend quality time with your guests 🥰

Reason # 2 To Elope: Celebrate Your Marriage In A Reason # 2 To Elope: Celebrate Your Marriage In A Meaningful Way

⚡️Elopements are a way to center the day you get married around what matters most to YOU.⚡️

The symbolism and intentionality behind any and every aspect can hold meaning✨ Elopements provide freedom to make choices that are a true representation of your relationship.

If a big bougie party isn’t your cup of tea, it’s completely ok to say so. Some couples just feel more comfortable enjoying a celebration that is truly them – whether that’s spending the day hiking out in nature, exploring a new city, or staying in a remote airbnb hot tubbing and making pizza 🍕

Moreover, elopements are not limited to one day. Travel, excursions, decadent food, drinks, and amenity-filled lodging are all things that will enhance your memories when you get married.

Feel empowered 💪 to create a day that is a unique and authentic representation of you and your partner!
